One of Westchester’s unique jewels, Glen Island was originally created in 1879 as a summer resort. In 1923, Glen Island Park and Casino was acquired by Westchester County.
During the 1930's Big Band Era, The Glen Island Casino was a springboard to musical success for such entertainers as Ozzie Nelson, Charlie Barnet, Claude Thornhill, Les Brown, the Dorsey Brothers, and Glenn Miller and his orchestra, who got their big break when they were chosen to play a summer season at the prestigious Glen Island Casino.
The casino was reopened in December 1983. The original shell of the building and the dance floor in the second-floor ballroom, where the bands played, were retained.
Most recently, a new era has begun. After a $10 million renovation, the Glen Island Casino transformed into Glen Island Harbour Club — Westchester's premier banquet facility — where new, everlasting memories are created.

“Getting married is an extraordinary experience that can exhaust anyone. When you make the choice to have a wedding, so much is involved: researching for the right venue, photographer, DJ, decorations, and invitations, plus choosing a date, your wedding party, and other hidden areas that you learn about as you go through all the steps. Well, sometimes you're in the right place with the right people who turn a tedious task into a delightful experience, and Glen Island Harbour Club rose above expectation. We met with Rocco Agostino, who made everything go smoothly. The day of our wedding was stress-free that was made remarkable by the total professionalism of the Glen Island Harbour Club staff. They catered to our every need, turning our day into a dream wedding with an ambiance that fulfilled our vision of perfection. The maitre d', Geoffrey, provided the most courteous service and attention to all our guests. My wife was pampered like a queen by her bridal attendant, Luisa. Rocco, the maestro of it all, orchestrated a flawless event and was so professional throughout the entire day. The food was so delicious that guests wanted to kidnap the Chef! They praised the beautiful presentation of the cocktail hour, the main course, and the gorgeous setting of the ballroom and dance hall. The open bar carried the top brand of liquor and the bartenders’ ability to conjure up any requested drink was amazing. The stunning four-tier square red velvet cake with vanilla whipped cream icing made everyone a lover of red velvet cake. The main course, salad, and dessert presentation were flawless! I cannot find the words to express our appreciation for Glen Island Harbour Club’s staff and beautiful surroundings, ocean view, and garden. The outside tented chapel made a wonderful impression in the minds and hearts of everyone who attended our wedding.
