For one thing, before you take even one bite, the view is spectacular, and no wonder, since the restaurant is on the 18th floor. As for the food, there is a good selection and a lot of it.

This entertaining casino right on the border is only one part of a facility that also features comfortable rooms with lake views and access to California's Kings Beach. The Lucky Beaver is a 24 hours sports bar on the Nevada side of the lake that also offers video poker and a large menu full of great burgers, sandwiches, salads and an appetizer menu with chicken wings and the famous Tower of Onion Rings. All of the Lucky Beaver's 1/2 lb. burgers are made with a combination of short ribs and chuck roast and are tall and juicy. The classic Beaver Burger is only $12 with all the fixings and the Gambler with applewood smoked bacon, beer-battered onion rings, smoky BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese is $14. The bar features popular beers on tap as well as in the bottle and serves up signature cocktails, wine and beer. The bar has video poker and large screen TVs that show various sports and special events and the bar is hopping on Super Bowl Sunday and during other local and regional football events.

Recommended for Casinos because: While not an official casino, the Lucky Beaver does have plenty of poker slots located at the bar.

Boomtown is located just west of Reno and just a few miles from the California town of Truckee. Harvey's was the very first casino hotel built on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is the newest casino hotel in the South Lake Tahoe area. This fully integrated resort has a 25,000 square foot casino with over 500 slot machines and various table games. The hotel boasts 539 rooms as well as multiple restaurants, bars, outdoor venues and the largest outdoor pool area in South Lake Tahoe. The casino's restaurants and bars include Park Prime featuring features local grass-fed beef, premium seafood and specialty cocktails. The Center Bar is located in the heart of the casino and is the place to be seen as is the Oyster Bar. The bar's stage featured nightly music and a large LED screen to watch concerts and videos.

Lake Tahoe Casino Restaurants

The Crystal Bay Casino has been voted one of the best casinos in the Lake Tahoe area, but they don't let it go to their head. This casual and friendly casino on the North Shore has become known for its excellent selection of live shows as well as for their lively casino. Many locals hang out at the Crystal Bay on the weekends to enjoy the numerous entertainment that the Crystal Bay books. Acts include legends like Dick Dale and Los Lonely Boys as well as fun bands like Lil Brian and the Zydeco Travelers, the White Buffalo, Super Diamond and Tainted Love. The Crystal Bay also has comedy acts and special events with bands like the Sierra Leone Refugee Allstars. And the best thing? A lot of these music events are free. During the shows in the Crown Room, there is no smoking allowed, but dancing is. The Crystal Bay's Sports Book offers full-service action on HD Plasma monitors, the casino has table games like Blackjack, Double Odds Craps, $2 and $4 Texas Hold'em and Roulette as well as numerous slots.

Bill's Lake Tahoe was a casino located in Stateline, Nevada owned and operated by and connected to next-door Harrah's Lake Tahoe.

Bill's opened during the 50th Anniversary of Harrah's in 1987 and was named in honor of William F. Harrah.^[1] There was no hotel, although there was an on-site tattoo parlor. Bill's also hosted UFC pay per view fights at all of its bars. In January 2007, Bill's became the only non-smoking casino in Tahoe. After years of business decline, Bill's Casino closed its doors for good January 4, 2010.

The site and surrounding parcels of land were purchased by attorney Melvin Laub in March 2010 for US $5.22 million with the intention of turning the location into a large strip club.^[2][3] It was later reported that the site would be transformed into a mall including a pharmacy, a jewellery store, a tattoo studio, a Pilates studio, a clothing store, another casino and a restaurant and bar.^[4]

Tahoe Casino Restaurants

The Tahoe Daily Tribune reported on a safe was discovered behind a false wall during renovations during August 2011.^[5]

On August 23, a posting on reddit^[6] by the son of the purchaser of Bill's casino prematurely stated the opening of the safe will be documented on reddit. The Oprah Winfrey Network gained exclusive access to the opening of the safe for the TV show Found, that is in development and the broadcast date is not known. The safe was opened 14 Sep 2011 in the presence of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigator, but did not find anything relevant to an investigation.^[7]
